About the University

The Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM) is a public university located in Chișinău, Moldova. Established in 1991, it is the leading specialised university in Moldova for economics, business, and management education. ASEM focuses on preparing professionals in economics, finance, business administration, information technology, and related fields through modern teaching methods and international cooperation.

History

The Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova was founded on 25 September 1991 by the Government of the Republic of Moldova. It was created based on the former Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Economics of Trade and Commodity Science from Moldova State University, and the Institute of National Economy of the Ministry of Economy. Since its establishment, ASEM has developed into Moldova’s main institution for economic and business studies.
